A sign above the front door declares "Y'all come on in," and that's exactly the sentiment inside this modest, family-owned restaurant. - CitySearch, Malaika Wells - suggest change

Best Home-Cooked Food Around Whenever I am in Nashville I must visit Dotson's. I also bring everyone with me and they all love the place. Every thing there is home made and the waitresses are effecient and friendly. [17 Apr 2002 19:06:55]

What a wonderful experience My husband and I drove from Alabama to Dotson's today for lunch. It was worth the two-hour ride. The fried chicken was just like my grandma used to make and the prices were so reasonable we couldn't believe it. The homemade rolls were wonderful. The pies ... indescribably delicious!!!!
We brought a whole chicken home with us to enjoy later. We'll definitely make the trip back to Dotson's again soon. [24 May 2003 19:54:58]

Best Breakfast Ever! We were in town for a little more than 24 hours. We stopped at Dotson's, since we heard they have great biscuits. I have never experienced such wonderful hospitality! The waitress and staff were very nice. We had pancakes, eggs, bisquits, bacon and country fries. The pancakes were excellent. The biscuits were to-die-for. I have never had such wonderful biscuits! I really should have taken a dozen home and put them in the freezer. [21 Dec 2003 14:26:35]

Wow I'll go back I recently had the great opportunity to visit, Dotson's and am so glad I did. The chicken was the BEST! I was so impressed with Art, the owner. His friendliness and genuine pride in his customers is contagious among his staff. They were ALL so friendly and pleasant. It was a lovely lunch. I will go back when in the area. Down Home Charm We stopped by to get a look at the place I've heard about in Good Housekeeping, the issue with Wynonna Judd on it. I totally love her and wanted to get a look at what I'd read about and what the attraction was. Our waitres was friendly and the food was the best of it's kind I've ever tasted. I didn't get to see Wynonna face to face but I did get a long conversation with the Owner.. Worth my drive from Columbus Ohio that's for sure. We go to TN every year but the trip to Dotson's made it the best yet. Mr. McCloud if you're reading this, God bless you for making me feel so special. God has a special place for you in Heaven... Don't change a thing with the new Restaurant coming up in the coming year! Roberta Morton Pickeringto Ohio [08 Jul 2006 01:50:08]

Welcome Home My husband & I found Dotson's quite by accident. We'd never heard of it and to be honest I didn't expect much. Was I surprised! Now my husband says, Don't tell nobody about it! You'll screw it up. Gotta go-leavin' for Dotson's... [10 Jun 2007 09:46:56]
