Skip it and head for the Park Grille While the internet photos depicted an elegant setting, the decor was actually dated and cheesy.
The food was okay, but not what I expected. I had the prime rib accompanied by stir-fry vegetables, beginning with a salad. The salad was just iceburg lettuce and the "homemade" dressing tasted very much like bottled. The dinner bread was something out of a tin foil tray from the grocery store. The prime rib was okay but was on the cold side. It was served on the same dish as the accompanying vegetables and the au jus from the meat just blended right together with the liquid from the stir fry vegetables.
Overall, it just did not live up to expectations. [24 Mar 2004 15:15:13]

Perfect Dining Experience Although the decor shown on the website isn't exactly what they have, the dining experience was unforgettable. In all my travels I have never encountered a restaurant so devoted to its customers. The hostess was extremely gracious, and our server could not have been better.
The prime rib was no doubt the most enjoyable steak I have ever eaten, and the Chicken Vera Cruz is a delicious house specialty.
Perfect for families and couples alike, I would recommend The Greenbrier to anyone looking for a true "art in fine dining" in the Great Smoky Mountains. [05 Aug 2004 00:41:48]
