Fortune Dragon Restaurant Small restaurant with a nice buffet. You have to eat there on a Friday or Saturday night to get the good seafood buffet. They tend to cost more than the others but the food is better quality. I heard about them because of a rave review in the Kingsport Times News.
The one dish that is famous is not even on the menu. It's Joe's BBQ chicken. It's not BBQ at all, rather it's fried chicken with a special gravy. I heard it takes an elaborate process of cooking chicken, deboning, and deep frying to make this dish. In fact the root of this dish comes from almost 40 years ago from the first Chinese restaurant in Kingsport, Joe Gongs. [20 Mar 2004 00:43:33]

Great Food and Service A friend of mine took me here for lunch on day and I was hooked. They have dozens of entree items on the buffet every day. The staff keeps everything fresh and hot. If you want something and you don't see it on the buffet, just ask, they will try to request it and make it available. The Schezwan shrimp is my favorite and if it isn't on the buffet, I just ask and they bring it out in a few minutes. I also highly recommend the Kung Pao chicken. What this place lacks in ambiance is made up for with great service! [21 Sep 2006 09:41:55]
