Had a horrible experience
Went to Pargo's for a really good dinner and it turned out to be a nightmare. The waitress was very slow, I asked for extra dressing, she brought it after I had finished my salad. Asked for bread, she never brought it. We asked for refills on our coffee and she began clearing off tables. I asked my steak be cooked medium well, and it was bloody. I finally got mad enough, I went to the manager and asked for coffee which she brought quickly. We were using a coupon which automatically adds the tip of 17% into the bill. I paid the bill quickly because I was on the way to the airport. On the road, I called the manager and stated facts. She was very apologetic and stated she would send my mom and me free dinners and reimburse me the tip. It has been 8 days and I have heard nothing.

I like going to Pargo's but after that experience I am not so sure anymore. Bad enough you get awful service and then for someone to promise you something and not follow through? To me that is unexceptable.

I too work with the public and I understand that we are there to serve the customer. Well this customer wasn't served, just blown off.    [17 Jun 2003 20:50:33]

My sister and I dined at Pargo's in Madison one night last week. It was the first and last time we will ever go there. It was bad from the beginning. Once we were seated, it was several minutes before our waitress (who had curly blonde hair and was fairly tall) even greeted us or asked for a drink order. We immediately seemed like a burden to her. She was rude throughout the meal, well at least when she came around. We eventually had to ask someone else for our check (who was actually nice). The original waitress brought us the check and we asked to speak to the manager. Our waitress then told us that he was unavailable. This was hard to believe since we had just seen him speaking to another table near us. It was such a terrible experience that we decided not to force the issue. I just wanted to get out of there. The place was filthy and the roof was leaking. The food was decent. I will say that the other waitress we spoke to was very nice and was taking care of her customers (she was a much shorter girl). It was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. They really need to make some changes there before I'd even consider returning.    [30 Aug 2004 04:12:34]

Pargo's is Gone
Both Nashville Stores are now closed.

I can remember when Pargo's was great, but that was back when they had the Belle Meade location. Since then they slid very slowly into mediocrity, and now they are gone. Another decent resturant ideal killed off by Shoney's inept management (like Barbwires, ect)    [14 Feb 2005 08:12:14]
