Poor service experience at Happy Mexican
On the evening of Aug.17th, some co-workers and I visited Happy Mexican located in Memphis, Tn. Our intentions were to have a few margaritas and enjoy each other's company. After finishing our first drinks, it took forever for the waitress to return. The group of us looked around the entire restaurant for our waitress. We sat there for at least 45min. before she finally appeared. Our salsa and chips were not refilled. We had to wave down another waiter to get him to find our waitress for us. In a rude tone of voice, he stated, "Do not wave at me, I am not your waiter", then he just walked off.
We looked at each other in shock! The 4 of us got up from the booth and went to the front to find our waitress and to request to speak to the manager. We were in awe when we saw who the manager was. The manager was the waiter who so rudely told us not to bother him. We explained to him our dissatisfaction with the service as well as his unprofessionalism. We told him we felt we should be compensated in some way. He showed no concern whatsoever for our terrible experience. We informed him we would never return to Happy Mexican again, nor would we refer the restaurant to anyone we knew.
I work for an organization where the employees like to go out for drinks after work. I intend to post a memo around the company letting everyone know never to visit Happy Mexican because of the horrible service,and unprofessional management.    [19 Aug 2007 18:41:47]
