Unforgettable pleasure This past 4th of July I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant. I must tell you it was quite an experience. The atmosphere was the first pleasurable thing; set in what is known as German town an older part of Nashville with nice well manicured homes.
The food was impecable with the best southern cuisine despite my mom's.
The seating arrangements are what really made the evening complete. I was seated with 12 other guests at a big round table where the food is served and passed from one to another around the table. This arrangement led to an evening filled with great conversation from everyone at the table; it really gave you a welcomed feeling. If you go to Nashville without visiting this restaurant you are really missing a treat. [09 Jul 2003 12:45:39]

Breakfast with the family Eating breakfast at Monells is like going to your grandma's house, that is if your grandma is a great Southern cook.
Come here with a huge appetite and be prepared to eat everything from hot biscuits with homeade peach jam to fried chicken. I have never seen so much food!!
The great part was getting to meet all the nice people at our table. They didn't even hold the fact that we were Yankees against us. It really is an experience that no visitor to Nashville should miss. [23 Nov 2005 17:04:46]
