Check out the new menu. The place just keeps getting better and better. Relaxed elegant atomosphere that is fun for just drinks or dinner too. The new menu is a selection of some of their most outstanding past specials. Nice wine list and good desserts. Wait staff is attentive and polite. One of Amarillo's top picks. [12 Mar 2002 22:33:19]

New Location Perhaps because Amarillo usually overloads new restaurants, reservations are even encouraged for lunch at BL Bistro's new location.
Without a Monday lunch reservation, my 14-year old and I were seated at the single bar table. Unfortunately, the location resulted in neglectful, slow service, despite limiting our meal to appetizers and dessert.
The Lamb on the Rock was splendid as usual, especially the olive and caper relish. Preparing thin slices of meat on the hot rock is fun, even for an easily unimpressed teenager.
The Crab Cake with Avocado Chipotle Relish was disappointing, with little crab flavor.
On the other hand, the chocolate cake was fabulous, and well worth its $6 price.
I suspect our experience with the restaurant was unusual, but caution diners to call ahead for reservations. [18 Aug 2005 13:28:46]
