Could this be the best restaurant in Athens? I think so! Where else can one find great tasting meals at a low cost? You have a wide variety to choose from including fried chicken, chicken fried steak, baked chicken, livers, chicken strips, chicken nuggets, gizzards, and fried fish. Julio's also provides a vast variety of side items with your meal. These include: okra, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, pinto beans, cajun rice, hushpuppies, and french fries. I will agree that the food here is very good at a great value. However, the staff is generally sour-faced and will try to rush you through your decisions, even if you are the only customer in the store. I would recommend this establishment if you were going to drive-thru and take it home to your family. I would like to include, however that the art work on the wall is done by local high school students which adds a nice touch.    [25 Oct 2006 14:59:23]

I agree this is the best place to eat fried chicken in Athens! I go in to this restaurant at least 3 times a week and every time I walk in I am greeted with a smile. Its hard to choose what my favorites are there cause I love all their food, but I would have to say their chicken strips far exceed the chicken stips from any other restaurant I have been to and their rolls are like none ive ever tasted!
