Don't let the exterior fool you....it's awesome These folks know their business! On a Friday night, we were greated by a line of maybe 40 people, told by hostess the wait would be 30 minutes. They seated us in 20. Buspersons/waitstaff were flying to the commands of what appeared to be the owner (we later found out he is). Service was top notch! The food--well, it was great too, from the chips/salsa at the table to a special flaming appetizer, the fajitas simply great. Our neighbors had shrimp and couldn't believe the size of them..great value. We are there once a week now. We've been informed they are indeed moving at the beginning of '05 though no specifics. I do know they will be within one mile of where they are now. We drove past this place for 3 years and tried other mexican restaurants in the area and nothing compares (we do like Uncle Julios - just too far). My wife finally let us try it one night with friends and we are lifetimers now. Bravo! [15 Sep 2004 18:27:38]

Raphael’s Great Mexican Food with fabulous service My husband and I have eaten at Raphael’s at least 3 times a month for the last 5+ years. The food is always delicious. Family owned and it shows in their five star customer service! The staff goes out of their way to make the dining experience special and will accommodate special dietary request – all you have to do is ask! While we still miss the old building, the new restaurant is great and becoming more and more cozy all the time. Betty [18 Mar 2006 19:10:40]

New Owners / Same Great Food Raphael's is now under new ownership but still has the same cooks and staff. The food is excellent! The interior has gotten a touch-up and the bar now boasts three flat screens for all your favorite sporting events. Staff is friendly and the new owners are wonderful. [05 Feb 2008 17:08:50]

Dissapointed When we first moved out to the area we really were impressed. Each time we have gone (at least 7 times) the service is slower, the food is over priced for what you get on the plate. Since Jan 08 it has really been downhill. [03 Mar 2008 18:17:18]

Delicious food and margaritas I've been to Raphael's 3 times and am now their biggest fan! I've had their fajitas, the desperados, and the fish tacos... it was all delicious. For an appetizer I totally recommend the queso flameado. They put cheese and chorizo on a plate and light it on fire, then once it melts and the fire goes out they mix it up for you to make your own cheese tacos. So good! If you go during happy hour i recommend the margaritas and i also love that they have Dos X Amber on tap. Oh, and i also noticed that they have really good lunch specials every day.
