Delicious...but careful on the steps!
We decided to try Aquarelle for our 3-year anniversary dinner, and we weren't disappointed.

We got a complimentary appetizer from the chef (I guess she or he was testing something new out) -- a carrot salad with garlic. Mmm!

I had the pan-seared yellowfin tuna, which was my first foray into tuna cooked that way and it was delicious. My boyfriend had the beef fillet, which was quite good as well.

For dessert, we wanted to try the profiteroles, but they were out. Then we wanted to try the chocolate cake roulade, but the chef wasn't satisfied with how it turned out. So we "settled" for the chocolate souffle cake, which was divine.

The only bad part of the evening was on our way out. Their front steps don't have a guardrail to hold while you walk down them, and the steps are quite slick. I tripped down the steps on the way out and banged up my foot pretty good, besides the fact that my ego suffered quite a large blow.

But at least my belly was full of good food at that point!    [15 Jul 2003 22:46:42]
