Wharton's Dock on Medina River in bandera Texas
I had nothing but fun and the view was great and I meet some of the friendest and interesting folks there, the river and lake was beautiful, not to mention that they had live music and I had a blast. I'm going back!    [29 Jan 2004 23:06:22]

I had A great time there. The food was great and it's right on Medina River so that made it all worth while. I ate outside where I could watch the boats go by. A#1    [15 Mar 2004 20:56:11]

The Best Place on Earth
Never tried the catfish, but they got the best cheeseburger I've eaten yet. Of course, having beer handy makes everything better. A box of Almaden red sangria makes a good breakfast. The place brings to mind scenes from the Kevin Costner film Message in a Bottle. The food is always fresh and hot from the kitchen, just spicy enough for the right flavor. With all the domestic beer you can drink and portions large enough for a hungry fisherman, the meals are truly satisfying.

The staff is truly helpful with answers to every question about the menu and good recommendations. Your plate is cleared away quickly and replaced with a beer at your request, or your water is refilled quickly. With all the business they see it is amazing that you never have trouble attracting your waiter's attention. If something goes wrong with your meal, they will handle it appropriately. The bill arrives on time so you can move on to enjoying some friendly conversation with the locals, and you never feel rushed.

The restaurant and patio have the distinctive style of a true fisherman's wharf. Friendly patrons from the surrounding community frequent the place, which is the best part of the entire experience. The music outside is never too loud, and there is no noise from the kitchen. The bathrooms are clean enough to be healthy.

The place is great for camping, and you always get a good deal for the price. I would definitely recommend it to a friend. It would be good for any special occasion like a kid's birthday party or romantic dinner, and it is a good place to go with a group. As a frequent visitor, I feel somehow connected with the restaurant owners and employees. I would definitely recommend making reservations today!    [25 Oct 2004 06:35:27]
