Scrum-de-la-YUM!
I've been coming here since I was a small child. Despite the dark, yellow-tinged atmosphere, it's clean and delicious. Everyone knows each other, and the same employees have been there forever. There is nothing on the menu that isn't perfection. I am a burger purist, and these are the best anywhere.    [28 Jun 2000 10:30:39]

Worst place
At best, this place is filthy and run down. It took us 30 minutes before our orders were ready and they were not even cooked properly (I ordered my meat medium rare and got it more than well done). Their french fries are bad (soggy to say the least) and the onion rings greasy. And to top it off, within one hour, my wife got sick and threw up (too much grease!). This place is a pustule for the Bellaire community. We will never go back there. I rather go next door to the "Roadster Grill" (or even Jax Grill). At least it's clean and they cook my meat the way I want.    [25 Aug 2002 21:09:50]

It's really great
Ok for you with the wife that threw up, she's never eaten a burger before, has she? And it's not a dirty place, it's just been that way for a long time to keep the 50's feeling going on. Y'all, I live in Bellaire, and everyone I knows loves it! So don't listen to snobs like that guy that said it was the worst place because it's really not.    [08 Mar 2003 13:21:39]
