a *MUST* stop in Boerne If you only make one stop Boerne, stop here! If you make several stops, save time for this one, too!
Great brew, great grub, and a nice view of the park and the creek. Easy parking and decent prices for what you get. [25 Aug 2005 15:01:13]

Award-winning home brew Dodging Duck brews some of the best beer in the world right here in Boerne. They typically have four varieties to choose from at any time. There's an outdoor patio with a little play area for the kiddos. They serve Opa's sausages, which are tasty. Their Mexican dishes are not the best in town, but they have great sandwiches and soup. Definitely worth the drive from San Antonio if you live that way. My food rating (5) is for their beer, the food is pretty good, too, I'd give it a 3.5 [12 Dec 2005 18:07:28]

From A Regular - Great Place! Sit up at the bar and you will get the the most prompt service. Also, everyone is friendly and it is easy to pick up a conversation with the locals. This is a classy bar - no smoking inside. Music is usually 40's stuff. Food offered comes in big and little portions. The brewmaster Rae Mittledorf's beer is excellent and will spoil you from drinking anything else. If you like beer and don't stop here you're missing out. Nice seeting along the deck to watch the river and ducks - kids are always playing in the fenced yard. The Duck is habit forming because it is soooo goood. [25 Jul 2006 12:57:16]
