Great Food and Wonderful Service A quaint small town find in downtown Bonham. I was not expecting to find a place where there were white linen tablecloths and napkins. The panfried onion dip appetizer was unique and delicious. [13 Nov 2003 18:06:35]

Purple Sage Bistro, Bonham, TX The old place was much better -- mostly the service -- but as time goes on the whole thing. This is a wonderful chef who has made a huge mistake by expansion; the house where they were previosuly was great, the waiter there was superb, the food even tasted better. Is the chef the same no? She had it going on at the hosue but not at the downtown location. [11 Jan 2004 18:01:35]

WOW! Walking into this place was simply great. And after being there for a while, I could not help but think I was not in a small town anymore. Great atmosphere, GREAT food, excellent service and my husband and I go back about once a week now. Was very busy for lunch the other day as well, had a small wait at the door, but we chatted with the host who made us feel very very welcome. The new manager hired by the owner introduced himself to us and was talking to us about the changes going on to the Bistro, including a new sunday brunch. This is obviously my favorite place to visit and enjoy when we want to enjoy a night out together. [08 Sep 2004 18:54:30]
