Fantastic Located in a rustic setting in an old courthouse in this small rural town, Barbara's Table has the kind of quality you would expect to find in a fine restaurant in a large city. The meals are all homemade from scratch, and frequently the owner/chef takes time out from the kitchen to chat with the patrons. I like the way they bring a basket of homemade hot rolls to your table when you arrive. The menu varies from night to night, but my favorite is the combo meat platter on Saturday nights. Another interesting touch is the way the old adobe walls have signatures of groups or parties written on the walls. [17 Jan 2004 01:11:44]

Great food, great people, great atmosphere Barbara's Table is a small town restraunt with big city taste. Everything they make just seems to get better and better each time you go back, which you will definately want to do. But not only is the food great, so are the people that work there. Friendly service and small town charm abound here. [22 Jan 2004 18:28:29]

A meal to remember! My wife and I stumbled on Barbara's Table during our U.S. trip in september 2003, on monday the 8th. We stayed at Fort Clark and went looking for 'something to eat'. In the peace and quiet of Bracketville we discovered Barbara's.
We choose salade, ribeye with beans and baked potatoes. It was absolutely perfect!
We talked very pleasantly with the young woman that served us (wife of the owner). She took great care of us.
Afterwards I wrote some comments on the wall. Don't worry: they invite customers to do that!
The ambiance is also great. Great design en lots of room!
Now (months later) I'm at home in the Netherlands, busy writing the story of that trip, and discover this site, so I'm happy to write a review.
