My husband loves the #6. I always get nachos. I think they have very good food and I love the hot sauce. [28 Nov 2001 22:35:13]

Do not be afraid...the food is addictive. Especially the fried tomatoes and bean, cheese and guacamole nachos. Or my second favorite is 1 cheese enchilada with plain sauce and a quacamole tostido. The hot sauce is to die for, so ask for a pitcher of iced tea to stay at your table. A cold Coors Light (bring your own) also goes great with the menu. [19 Aug 2003 19:32:42]

Awesome Food The nachos cinco cinco is the best dish in the world. Their food is great. I live in California, and I miss Gomez's really bad. There is no Mexican food in the world that compares. Trust me, I know. I've been everywhere! [14 May 2004 17:28:12]

Former Texan Misses Real Mexican Food My friends and myself always ate at Gomez. Nachos cinco cinco was a must have! The salsa and chips, the enchiladas and even the chicken fried steak were always great.
I wish I could have those nachos sent to me here in Dalton, GA. [13 Mar 2005 10:01:14]

Forget It Without a doubt the worst meal I have ever eaten. The guacamole was pasteurized, the enchiladas (maybe the whole plate) were frozen and reheated: read old. I love Tex-Mex, and authentic Mexican alike. This was just awful. [14 Mar 2006 14:12:21]

OMFG This has to be one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. The cheeseburgers are to die for! Some of the best service and a family friendly restaurant. I'm a native of Brownwood; I eat here almost every day, and I never get tired of it. [16 Apr 2006 19:53:41]

Best Food, Best People I'm from the big town of Brownwood, and Gomez is the one TRUE Mexican restaurant! My usual is either a chili-cheese burger or a #2, my mom jokes that I was bottle-fed their hot sauce, and I probably was. Advice to people who have not eaten there yet, get plenty to drink because the hot sauce will kill you if you're not accustomed to it. The wait-staff is the best; so friendly and fast! IF YOU HAVEN'T ATE THERE...GO DON'T BE SCARED! BE A TEXAN! ;-) [25 Sep 2006 13:08:05]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: #2(2 enchiladias rice and beans) & Chili-cheese burger and make sure you ger the queso!

Queso! Gomez's is by far in the heirarchy of great Mexcian food places. Its easilly the best in Brownwood, and is high in the running for best in Texas...which equally makes it high in the running for best in the United States...so on and so forth.
Number 4 with beef...or the Taquitos De Res Suaves are a must.
Also ...the Chili Con Queso is the best in the world. Paticularly good with the Fried Tomatos. But heres a hint. Just get the half order. They really are about the same size. Why? I don't know...but it will save you a little loot.
Oh and Breakfast! Best Brekfast in town. [25 Sep 2007 16:01:57]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Number 4, Fried Tomatos, Chili Con Queso, Breakfast Special, Fried Chicken, Taquitos De Res Suaves, Gomez Special Picadillo, Juevos Rancheros!
