Down Home Food with Great Atmosphere!
Specht's is a hidden gem tucked away in Bulverde, Tx. Rumor has it Willie Nelson used to frequent the joint way back when. The food is All American...enchiladas, burgers (veggie too), salad, catfish and the fixin's.

A Good Excuse For A Sunday Drive
On a beautiful Sunday a friend and I drove out to Specht's for breakfast/lunch/brunch. He had Eggs Benedict. I had fried chicken. Both were exceptionally good. The atmosphere was very welcoming and funky. The staff was friendly and efficient (i.e., the iced tea glasses were kept full). We plan to go back soon - and take some more people. We're planning on going sometime in the evening to check out the nightlife in Bulverde - to check out the live music and see just how cold the beer is...    [27 Mar 2006 08:52:24]
