Best Chicken Fried I've ever eaten The food is fantastic, the service was great. My complaint was the noise, especially the music. We stepped in and BOOM! the music was so loud..my husband had to take his hearing aides out.. We took a friend because we wanted them to taste the food, we almost walked back out.The first time we went there the music was not near that loud.I guess the next time..we will take ear plugs and ask to be seated in the separate room..maybe it won't be so loud.. I can't say enough about BABE'S! My husband & I have tried all of their entrees and have always been pleased. Each of the sides from the mashed potatoes & gravy to the green beans to the corn are delicious, but you cannot forget their homemade biscuits. Did I mention you get all you can eat of their sides? This location is so cute as the interior has a Hansel & Gretel feeling inside and the waitresses are very friendly and quick to replenish that drink of yours or any additional sides. We highly recommend this restaurant and feel you won't be disappointed if you give it a try! [11 Jun 2006 14:23:13]

Large Groups BEWARE I have visited Babe's on a couple of occasions and will probably go back, although not with a large group. My last visit was with a group of ten and the service was awful. For a group of four, their little serving bowls are fine, if your use to being served a tablespoon per food at a time. But for a table of ten with two large boys, this simply is not adequate. We were given 2 sets of sides for 10 people. The potatos on each end served 3 people, so four were left waiting for the waitress to get back to us. In the meantime, she is checking on other tables, so it is awhile before some of our party even got their first serving of potatos! Same thing with the gravy, and green beans. This went on the whole meal, the one bowl at a time deal. We got fed up, the waitress got fed up and finally the manager came , and appeased us with a free meal for the next time. She said in all defense of the waitress, they are only allowed to bring one bowl per side for 7 people. Seven people !!!! I was so flabbergasted at that! In hindsight, I wish I would have asked her to please demonstrate that ,and to please serve that little bowl of potatos to seven of us there at that table! I dont think she could have done it without honest embarrasment !!!! Good food, good service for a small group ,but lacking poorly for a large group !And the salad, please... thats just lettuce with a sweet dressing. [26 Jul 2006 17:16:00]

Mouth-Watering Good Food!!! DFW area, he took me to the Burleson Babe's one night for dinner - and I haven't been able to stop talking about it since then. I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, and sure do wish that Babe's would expand into During a recent trip to visit my cousin who lives in the Florida!!! I even had friends from Tampa Bay who made a trip to Dallas after my trip, and told them to make time to eat at Babe's (and they came back with similar reviews - and even bought me a Babe's T-shirt!). The food is some of the best I've ever had and service was just great. BABE'S NEEDS TO EXPAND INTO OTHER SOUTHERN STATES......SOON!!!! [10 Apr 2007 10:57:55]

Too expensive for too little On our first visit, I ordered the chicken. We don't care for the dark meat. I requested all white meat on our orders. After much grief, the manager came over and said the chicken does not come packaged that way and it could not be done. For the cost of the dinner, you should have an option of white or dark meat for goodness sake. On our second visit, I ordered the fried fish and again was disappointed in the vvvvery small 3 pieces of fish on the plate. The fish was good, but not enough again for the price. I can fill up on vegs anytime. I want a nice plate of meat when I pay the prices that Babes charge. I'm very disappointed in the place and I live in Burleson. Also, yes--the music and noise is terrible. [30 May 2007 19:20:09]

Like Lickin' A Salt Block Is it just me or does it seem like someone stumps their toe and spells the salt in the green beans?? Actually, everything is a little on the salty side.. AND loud, the managers must be deaf! [30 Aug 2007 17:45:08]

I Actually Like Salt
SQUIRTS I have given Babe's a few tries and have decided not to go back. A lot of people seem to like the place, I am just not one of them. The entrees are OK, but are overpriced and the 'family style' service of vegetables is a nice concept, but again the canned vegetables with added seasonings are not worth the price. The service is so-so, depending on which giggly teen-aged waitress you happen upon and the place is very, very noisy and I can never tell if its clean because it is so dark inside.
All-In-All, an overpriced meal from a chain restaurant where the ambience (lack of) and service give me the squirts. [04 Sep 2007 15:55:36]

Salty and Loud They need to change the name to Salty and Loud! Please cut back on the salty... If someone needs more salty, there is a salt shaker on the table. OH... how do you burn green beans? [18 Dec 2007 11:58:18]
