The burgers were great. The bun made the burger!!! The French fries were crisp, hot and wonderful. I would recommend Moonies to all my friends [01 Mar 2007 10:21:43]

Awesome Buffalo Burger!!! Moonies is a nice, casual burger joint with some really inventive Burgers.
I agree with Kellye that the buns are incredible...but what really made Moonies stand out to me are the creative burgers on the menu.
My favorite is the Bufalo Burger...with buffalo wing sauce and bleu cheese crumbles...mmmmmmm...out of this world!
By the way... They make a mean good ol' fashioned bacon cheeseburger too. [12 May 2007 21:59:57]

Great burger variety, delicious buns, fabulous fries!!! First visit: buffalo burger...I'll probably stick with this one for awhile because it was *that good*! As others have said, the buns were the best I've ever had, even bypassing good ol' Fuddruckers yummy homemade buns. They had a nice variety of burgers, and every combination is also available with chicken breast (for a bit more $) for a healthier alternative. My friends got the regular fries and I got the sweet potato fries, both of which were fantastic! Very large portions, so unless you're a big eater, you could easily share an order of either kind of fries. I'm taking my family there tonight, and I'm sure this will become a family favorite! Great burgers! The burgers taste great and are a good size. The buns have a unique taste that goes well with the rest of the meal. The crispy fries are also very tasty [16 Jun 2007 17:24:43]

I'd have to agree, the fries and buns were great.. However I found the burger to be overcooked and dry...
I had asked for "medium rare" but was told they couldn't cook their hamburgers that way but assured me it would still be juicy... It wasn't....
Also the kids up in the little fort in the back (who appeared to belong to a resturant employee or owner) were quite rude flipping my kids the bird and making faces at us while we tried to eat our dried out hamburgers...
I WON'T be back..... [03 Sep 2007 15:00:07]

Very good I went to Moonies again while in Austin and was very happy to find that the food quality had not gone down since my last visit. This is a sign that this place is here to stay. I had an very good bacon cheese burger. The bun was very good, hot and had very fresh vegetables on the burger. The hamburger was right off the grill and had a great taste too. The place was very crowded so more people have heard about moonies. It is worth going to ....I do everytime I am in town. [02 Oct 2007 14:49:19]

Good Food-Bad Service I discovered Moonies shortly after it opened. I was impressed with the food but extremely disappointed in the service. After placing a take-out order, I arrived fifteen minutes later only to discover that they had not begun my order. I then waited for fifteen minutes after I was told it would only be five minutes. I received no apology from the staff and was treated terribly. As a result, I walked out sans order. I will not return. Good food only goes so far. In a competitive market flooded with chains, independent businesses should remember the importance of customer service. [28 Oct 2007 15:10:10]

Reputation Counts I, too, had placed a take-out order by phone, assured that when I arrived 20 minutes later it would be ready. It wasn't, so I paid and waited quietly as other orders were filled and diners were served. I inquired twice and was told it would be right out. Half an hour later I asked for my money back. The owner, who completed my refund, made no apology nor any attempt to make it right.
A friend, an elderly gentleman, requested a glass of water at the counter while he waited for his order. He was charged $1.50 and told me he'd never go back to Moonies.
Maybe a good product, but to quote Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman", 'BIG MISTAKE(S)'. [07 Dec 2007 19:19:50]
