Best Cheeseburger I've ever Had
Doris' is now called, I believe, the Burger Barn. The cheeseburgers are extraordinary - hand-formed patties on grilled buns with mayo,lettuce, tomatoes, and REAL cheese. The chili cheese fries came smothered with home-made chili and more real cheddar cheese. There are other selections, including full dinners and Mexican food, but we haven't tried them. Doris' Burger Basket
Doris'Burger Basket is now located at 1304 E. Broadway, Sweetwater, Texas. She originally opened it in Center Point, Texas in 1992. Her daughter bought it in July of 2002, and renamed it the Burger Barn. Vickis Burger Barn
Vickis Burger Barn is what used to be Doris' Burger Basket, located in Center Point, Texas.
I was there 7 years ago, and in between, and in recent months have been dissapointed in recent changes.
I once enjoyed the "Doris" atmosphere, and Chicken Fried Steaks & Burgers to write home about. The food is good, but the feeling is gone.    [06 Feb 2004 01:30:52]

Indeed
While the Cafe may be quit a hit to the small town folk of CenterPoint TX it also the only cafe in town, save for the cafe down the street which is of no comparison. Meaning, the Burger Barn has food that people will eat because it is good, but it is also convienent, one would have to drive all the way to Kerrville or SanAntonio for a meal. Burger Barn

I love it
I am an employee at Mooney, just down the highway from Vicki's Burger Barn. When I started working out here I just passed it by. After I went and ate there with a few coworkers, we worked the Burger Barn into our routine of where we ate lunch at. The staff is friendly...and we've always had great service. VICKI'S BURGER BARN
Vicki's Burger Barn was once Doris' Burger Basket. After the new ownership a lot has changed. The food is still exceptional but the place is much cleaner, service better, staff friendlier, not to mention it has been expanded and there is now a non-smoking section. It may be located in a small town but people from many other states have heard about it and made a special trip to taste the famous burgers.
