Good food and friendly service
A nice little family cafe just south of Christoval. Just the kind of place I like to stop on a road trip through the small towns of Texas.

Some places nearby: A nice park along the river off of RR2084 just across the road from the local school. Has great swing ropes for the kids to launch themselves into the river and places for camping.

Best Cheddar Jalapenos I've ever Had
This little joint gladly served me and my brother big ole chicken fried steaks after they had already closed following lunch hours. The cheddar jalapenos were so good I have dreams about them. Made with fresh, hot jalapeno peppers sliced about 1/8 thick from top to bottom and shredded cheddar cheese, these dudes opened the caldron of West Texas and matched the hell-fire heat of mid august Tom Green County. The iced tea and greasy gravy on the chicken fries cooled the fire just right. This place is a jewel in a place over looked by most of the world.    [30 Apr 2004 18:26:25]

Tasty Cheddar Jalapenos
Me and my brother stopped into this little joint right as they were closing for the afternoon. They gladly serverd us anyway.

The Cheddar Jalapenos are made with fresh, longitudinally cut green jalapenos and covered with sredded cheddar cheese. They are firey hot and delicious. The chicken fried steak is one of West Texas' best    [02 Nov 2004 18:49:53]
