You ain't from around here are ya boy?
The only place open was the Clarendon Steakhouse. We walked in and everyone stopped what they were doing to get a good gander at the strangers...Quickly we noticed the sign over the door that read "We don't call 911!" with a gun and a noose. They place was a bit strange. We ordered and I figured I would have one of there steaks since it was a steakhouse. I was served my meal and I had asked for medium rare and it was thin and brown all the way through. The waitress told me that that was the "dark meat" what the hell? My friend and I were joking about that we didn't see any black people in town, so maybe that is where they got the dark meat. LOL! I have never heard a steak called dark meat before and I don't recon I will again. It was the worst steak I have ever had in my life. The salad bar consisted of iceburg lettuce and the basics which was not very fresh. My friend had mexican food... it's quality was nothing more than poor as well. We were joking about how Cooter was probably out tinkering with the truck while we were eating and how this was the begining to a scary movie. As we were leaving we drove by Amigo's Mexican food, which was closed down permanently. I think my friend was eating the poor guy who used to run that restaraunt.... We got about 3 mile out of town and the truck loses power and we are stuck on the side of the deserted highway a little bit scared. I gave the truck a rest and limped into the next town which was just as scary. I reset the computer on the truck and we got out of there as quickly as possible. If anything we always a good storey to tell about the Clarendon Steakhouse and Mexican Food, but I don't recommend eating there unless you are intrigued to find out if you will be the next item on the menu.    [05 Jun 2006 15:48:04]
