Great Bakery
A few years ago, we stopped at a local gas station in Cotulla. I picked up already packaged Mexican sweetbread. They came in a clear package with blue writing.

I thought that it would be nice to have for a snack on the way home to Chicago. When I realized we did not eat them, I packed them for work. Once I eat them, I could not believe how great they were. Oh, they were the best just as I had growing up in Chicago.
Your bakery Valdez Bakery in the town of Cotulla is the best do not change!
Nobody makes sweetbread like that anymore, at lease not around here. It seems as they have gotten away from the originally recipes.    [29 Oct 2007 14:00:56]
