Best Beef in Texas!
I started creating a webpage for D'Hanis Texas called www.geocities.com/dhanis_tx and decided to research the famous KK Steakhouse by eating there. Let me tell you, I have never tasting anything quite like the beef they had there. More than enough!
Anyone visiting there must try the Chicken Fried Steak!!! Just a warning, get the half portion if it is your first time there. I live in Pittsburgh and grew up in Del Rio, so every time we visit Texas, you bet it's at Bill and Rosa's for me and my wife!!! THANKS...    [21 May 2002 22:02:56]

Bill and Rosa serve the biggest Chicken Fried Steak on the planet! There is NO WAY you could possibly clean your plate in one sitting, TRUST ME. I tried it on two occasions, and I couldn't do it (and I am 6'5", 260 lbs). Great service, nice people, and well worth the drive out to D'Hanis.    [13 May 2003 06:22:44]

Chicken fried steak
It is worth a trip room the moon to enjoy the chicken-fried steak. The other dishes are probably good, too; but I always have the chicken-fried steak.

Suggestions:
1. Some of the chairs are less comfortable than others. Ask the waitress, she will guide you to a comfortable one.

Wow! Wow! Wow
Incredible food. I know that everyone brags about the chicken fried steak, but, if you're a fan of liver and onions, they've got the best! The portions are huge and we only order the half-orders. Great Food! Great Service!
I live far away from D'Hanis, but when I am in the area, I always try to get to this place. The food is delicious and plentiful and the service is great. The staff and the owners make is seem as if they really appreciate your business. Everything I have ever ordered here has been really, really good. While other places may try to downsize the size of their portions, this restaurant has always had huge servings. Overall, the entire dining experience is great.    [21 Nov 2006 18:12:57]

Fabulous Food & Great Entertainment!
Returning to San Antonio from Eagle Pass after winning a couple of bucks @ the Lucky Eagle Casino, our lucky streak continued, finding Bill & Rosa's KK Steakhouse in D'Hanis! We met the chef's mom & dad on the porch & they assured us the menu would be up to our expections. (Thanks chef's mom & dad! We hope dad has recovered from his surgery.) Apparently we had everyone's favorite waitress serving us & she is tops! Everything on the menu is fresh & prepared to order. The house salads with home-made dressings & vegetables of the day were especially good. The grilled pork chops, the chicken fried steak, the oysters & the shrimp all were over the top. Ronnie Mason's entertainment, picking & singing, was an unexpected bonus! We're looking forward to our next visit planning for their "Friday Night Special"... all you can eat shrimp & catfish. (Mom & Dad told us reservations are strongly recommended for the Friday Night Feast!) Our only disappointment was we couldn't enjoy one of the pastry chef's fabulous home-made pies for dessert. Half-Portions??
While taking two military buddies who were home from Iraq to the hunting lease this last December I stopped off at Bill & Rosa's to show off our Texas Cooking. They were not impressed by the question of "do you want half-portions?". When their chicken fried steaks came they were more than impressed (being that it pretty much covered the entire plate). they stuffed themselves and raved about how great the food and hometown atmosphere was, and how they felt so welcome there. They have vowed to return in December of 2008 for another trip "we are stopping at Bill & Rosa's aren't we?" by the way they coulnd't finish the "whole portion"    [06 Mar 2008 17:27:06]

Went Here Wanted to Stay!!
Went here when friends and I visited Utopia on the river. Saw the add when I looked up local resteraunts. Let me tell you it was the best food ever! everything was so fresh and you can tell they take pride in there dishes. The service was impeccable waitress had loads of great advice on what to order. two of us split the enormouse chicken fried steak.
