Don't Bother Stopping Here
Today, I left the DQ and went to Sonic where everyone else seemed to be after a very frustrating experience.
Let me preface this with the fact that there were less than 5 customers inside, who came in one vehicle. There were 3 employees. I pulled up to the speaker and sat for some time. I assumed it must be broken, so I pulled up to the window. I must tell you I am not impatient with people who I know are so poorly paid, and especially when they have to work on holidays, which today was. I sat there for some time and began to wonder if they were being robbed because the customers noticed me, but not the employees. One of them, a large hostile looking woman, came to the window. She opened it, leaned on the counter and glared at me without saying a word. I began to give her my order, which she was not writing down. I paused, which is when I learned she was neither deaf nor mute, because I got a loud "AND?". I ordered 4 different things without her moving to write anything. She turned and began yelling it over her shoulder when I told her that was all. Another of the three employees walked up and began to yell back at her that she had "her kitchen to do and she wasn't making them" (they were all beverages, by the way) She began to yell back and they were having a screaming match because nobody wanted to fix our drinks. Oh, and the third employee had been making a drink for herself which she'd informed them she was a taking a break to drink. I told them to forget it, and we left. I will never go there again. The last time I stopped, a couple of years ago, they had rude service and it's only become worse. If the Sonic is full and the DQ is empty - THERE IS A GOOD REASON. I'd contact the owner if I knew how, but I don't, so I posted it here. I hope I save somebody else from this annoying situation.    [04 Jul 2004 17:31:35]
