Nice folks, excellent food, and a great price! The Cornudas Cafe is a tradition in both our social clubs, as well as our family. Whenever on Highway 62/180, we stop there. Many times we have driven the hour plus from El Paso, just to eat at the cafe! [04 Jul 2003 20:27:44]

Tiny hamlet, friendly folks The Cornudas Cafe is a charming tiny restaurant in the middle of "nowhere". It's not exactly nowhere-a bustling and booming El Paso is 30 to 45 minutes drive east and the beautiful majestic Texas' highest peak is within a view from Cornudas. I just bought a ranch last Saturday and stayed more than an hour and I swear that it felt as if I was living in the time of the Wild West. There were plentiful of friendly folks and some dusty cowboys from the nearby ranches. The interior is quite simple, but has plentiful of interesting stuff to look at: license plates from all over the U.S. some dating back to the 1930's, plain napkins written by the customers giving praises and complliments for food, atmosphere, service and its uniqueness which are displayed on all dining tables (with clear plastic covering), the menu is made on a plain brown paper bag, food price is cheap, great food and a place where you could sit for hours having a hearty conversation with local ranchers/owners. It's worth giving it a try and you won't forget its charm!! [27 Oct 2003 12:36:49]

Still Great 20 Yrs Later... I ate there there in 1986 while serving in the Army in El Paso. Best breakfast Ive ever had PERIOD! I should have ordered the recommended Half stack of pancakes instead of the Full stack! Enough pancake to feed a family. [11 Feb 2004 23:19:05]

I recommend you drive slow about seven miles west of Cornudas, the road turns into red gravel, grooved pavement begins near there [02 Nov 2004 18:32:07]

The BEST of the BEST in the WEST I lived just about 5 miles away from Cornudas in the middle of the desert for about a year in 2004, and visited May's Cornudas Resturant frequently. Mostly for that GREAT breakfast.
The Infamous Cornudas Burger is to die for!
I highly suggest that if you are down that way...stop in and taste food like you have never tasted it before. And the way the place is decorated...FANTASTIC! A MUST SEE!
The owner of the place is also the Mayor. So stop in and say hello to Mayor May...and tell her Leo said Hi. [12 Jun 2005 19:40:32]
