A slice of ripoff The sandwiches would be good if they had more meat and cheese. The salads are interesting and good, but the size is too small for the price. The servers vary in quality and seem a bit under-trained overall. The management treated the staff with an unexplained curtness and harshness in plain view of customers. The ambiance is that of a small cafe on the inside, whereas on the outside you can gaze out upon the parking lot of a strip mall and hear the melodious sounds of traffic on I-35. People in Denton refer to it as a "slice of Heaven" and seem grateful for the culture it brings but, this cafe is trying too hard to be sophisticated and charging the customers for effort rather than results. Great Ambience and Food. After visiting the bistro I learned about an ownership change which took place recently. The staff is great - better than ever - and the panini I had was just perfect. Thanks for such a cute bistro/cafe. I will be back on my next trip to Denton. [23 Jan 2006 20:46:45]

Bochy's Bistro claims to be a European style restaurant. I wouldn't know about that, having never been to Europe. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this place, it's food, and it's staff. Even the music was pleasant.
It has a wide selection of sandwiches, wraps, and paninis (though nearly everything had avocado or peppercinis on it). The portions are generous with the sandwiches large and dense enough for two meals. The cup of soup is large enough to be a bowl anywhere else. The bowl I had difficulty finishing(Yucatan Lime, Fridays only, delicious!). Starbucks sized coffee selection, plus tea, and at a higher quality. The slices of cake seemed expensive but are so rich and thick I can understand the price.
The restaurant IS small and close to being too crowded but the server mentioned that they may be expanding the location. The front windows need tint or blinds badly but the rest of the decor is pleasant. Provided you go with a friend to hold your attention the fact that the place has a commanding view of I-35 and a parking lot shouldn't bother you. There are potted plants and flowers to liven up the windows.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Comprised mainly of HOT collage girls as far as I could tell. Get Sarah if you can. The manager and owner, a motherly young Indian lady, apparently helps in the kitchen most of the time and is available if anything is needed. She only disciplined one of the girls once while I was there and it was quietly behind the counter. I only noticed because I was looking for it.
All in all very nice. I will certainly be going back. [09 Sep 2007 09:39:59]
