Best Food In the City
In a city full of fantastic places to eat for less than $6 a person, Lucy's has always emerged as my favorite place. As a kid growing up here, we took it for granted. Once I left for college and began returning to El Paso during vacations and weekends, it became the first place I stopped, before going home to see my family. Every menu item I've ever tried was stellar and the service is fantastic, especially if you get one of the brothers who own the joint to wait on you. Fastest sit-down food in the world, where I've routinely been served a blazing hot plate of my favorite dishes within minutes of sitting down. Try the machaca, the Tacos Antonia, or the juevos rancheros with the queso sauce to see what it's all about. The best of the greasy spoons I've ever been to.    [30 Jul 2005 10:10:22]
