bad service; bad pizza
On Feb 14, 2004, my husband and I were in Ennis, Texas celebrating the wedding festivities of our daughter. After all the festivities, we were exhausted and "starving". Being from a rural community where pizza delivery is not an option, and having not had a pizza in over a year, (plus it being Valentines' Day) we retired to our hotel room and ordered from Domino's - recommended by the hotel front desk, and being just across the highway... the staff member that answered our phone call was gracious and explained that he was new on the job, therefore we didn't care that he had problems with our order explanations, etc. However, when our pizza was delivered (withing the time frame!) we were happy. However, the delivery person failed to bring us any condiments, as usually comes with delivery-pizza. {We're from the city, and the lack of pizza delivery to our current residence doesn't affect our intelligence as to experience). We had pizza but no accompanying condiments such as salt, pepper, red pepper, or garlic butter. The delivery person told us he'd be right back with the condiments, but even after having tipped him two dollars on a 15.07 charge, he didn't return. After he left we also realized he didn't give us the pizza we had ordered with extra ingredients that we had paid extra for. We then proceeded to call the Domino's pizza place 7 times. Each time we were placed on hold, and even after waiting over 20 minutes, no one responded. On the last call, we requested that someone call us and left our room number and contact information. Of course, no one ever contacted us. On top of that, the pizza was cold and stale and totally NOT what we ordered. Our extended family, of over 36 young people in their 20's an 30's, who were always healthy pizza eaters and orderer's, averaging delivery's from that Domino's of about 4-6 times a week, will never eat pizza from Domino's in Ennis, Texas again!!    [16 Feb 2004 05:22:22]
