Most Bland Mexican Food I've Ever Had I had the Verde Blanco y Rojo and the chil con queso. The rice tasted like it came from a package and the beans were very below average. If a Mexican restaurant can't make rice daily and has to use pre-packaged foods, then they've lost their touch. The enchiladas were the worst I've ever had as they were bland. The queso was the biggest letdown - more like a white cheese soup with no spiciness at all. If you mix their salsa into it, it helps, but this is not queso. At least not in Texas. I grew up in Texas and have been eating Mexican and Tex-Mex food since I could walk and this is the most over-rated food I've ever put in my mouth. It appears that this restaurant has succumbed to the "chain" tragedy where pre-packaging of food has replaced taste with uniformity. Maybe the other dishes are good, but I won't know since I won't be back. [06 Aug 2003 17:20:05]
