The food is great and so is the service. We are regulars for the brunch on Sundays. They have a great Murder Mystery Dinner Theater too. [11 Feb 2002 11:27:01]

Horror Service was horror right along with the food & Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. Mystery was put on by the http://www.theactorscompany.com/contact.htm. I see why a Dallas group performs in Frisco. Please don't make the mistake we did tonight.
It was 3 hours of bad food all the way around. Plus I just noticed after the fact that The City of Frisco Health board rate the restaurant a 18 on 01/15/02 out of a 25. Most restaurant rank in the 7's and under/ [24 Mar 2002 01:15:43]

Oh the Horror Part II After driving across the country (Mesquite to Frisco) for what I thought was going to be an enjoyable evening, I was thoroughly disappointed. The food was absolutely the worst! The chicken was cold, hard, dry and bland as if they'd just killed it and stuck it on my plate. The service was also poor, our waitress was MIA for 15-20 min at a time. And the mystery play was a mystery flop. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time or money on this horrible place. The only mystery here is how they are still in business! [17 Feb 2003 11:54:31]

Complete and Utter Disgust Upon arrival, we noticed the room in which we were to have dinner was completely crowded. We had to wait until the waitresses made room for my party. We we cramped on a table of about 25, in a very small room. I asked the waitress where would the play take place and she said it would happen in the room. I immediately thought there was no way they could pull a play off in such little space. Well, they did. And it was a horrible play indeed. Very, very corny! My husband and I paid $100 and it was not even worth it. I don't want you to make the same mistake I made, it's REALLY not worth it! If I could do it over again, I would have listened to the review that stated it was HORROR, because indeed it was!
P.S. Even the service was poor, the waitress we had moved like molasses! [17 Feb 2003 12:14:46]

The food, service, and atmosphere are the best around I couldn't find anything wrong with this restraurant if I tried. First of all, the food is out of this world. The atmosphere is enjoyable and not to forget the great staff that manages the restaurant. [08 Jun 2003 10:09:53]

My Personal Favorite!! in all of texas. Simply the best, most favorite place for me to go in D/FW area. There is also one near Plano/Richardson. I have got there countless times and never been disappointed. I have not tried the dinner theater so can't review that. I high recomend the pasta. Soo Fresh! [20 Jul 2003 12:43:04]

Depends on What You Want. Since I live in Frisco, I've eaten at the Abbey many times. I have rarely been disappointed. The food is usually quite good, and the service, although not stellar, is adequate. I have though, also had the unfortunate experience of paying way too much for the dinner theatre. If you just want a nice meal, it is a good choice. It's not the place to go for quality entertainment. [26 Mar 2004 16:58:47]

Fun. The person who wrote the horror review must have had a bad day that day, because I personally have eaten at the restaurant weekly for two years now and find the food wonderful, the staff kind, and the shows are very funny. [06 Apr 2004 12:55:46]

What's With Anonymous Reviews? Why are the bad reviews of this place signed anonymous? Could it be the competitors weighing in? Any why do you print them? The audiences I've been involved with at the murder mystery shows love the food and the productions. [18 Apr 2004 14:50:30]

It's a Crap Shoot. I've eaten the buffet many times. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad. It's never in between, that's the problem. You can go there somedays and the food isn't being replaced so it's either old or empty and poorly prepared. Then, on other days, they're on the ball and the food is good and well tended to. But, honestly, the service is always the worst. You practically have to beg for attention. I'll bet you if there were another decent brunch place in Frisco, nobody would go there.
