Tasty Tex-Mex dishes and steaks. Food and service has been reliable for many years, but recently the management and senior employees have moved over to their new store in Lewisville, and quality of service has slipped, and the food hasn't been quite as reliable. Hacienda has always been an old standby for longtime residents, as it has been in place in this town long before the new rush of chains into Frisco. The setting is based on old western ranches and is quite campy. It's a great place for kids. The wait can be long, but if you eat after 9 you can miss the crowds and the kids. The skillet apple pie is definitely worth the fat grams! [14 Apr 2001 21:47:38]

Never mind the bear! To a wildlife-friendly foreigner (English in this case), the stuffed bear in the entrance is pretty seedy and in poor taste. However, after you get past the "shoot it because it moves" thing, then things get progressively better. The service is good, the Tex-Mex authentic, tasty and in high volume (never managed to clear the plate yet!). This is a no-nonsense eatery that's popular with the locals (always a good recommendation in my book). The overall high quality of the food is great, the waiting staff eager to please. The salsa - just do it!! Highly recommended. [17 Jan 2002 05:58:33]

Take It From Someone Who Knows! I am a former employee of the infamous La Hacienda Ranch. I have worked at Frisco, Colleyville, and I opened and trained the host staff at the Carrollton location. My family started eating at "La Ha" almost 9 years ago (Nov. 1993). We love the fajita's and frozen Top Shelf Margarita's! Even though I no longer work there, I still go every Friday night and have the same friendly waitstaff great me like one of the family. I give "La Ha" a 5-star rating and will go back for many years to come so come on it is a "La Ha Night!" [23 Sep 2002 23:42:22]

The Absolute Best Tex-Mex!!! There is a little bit of a wait during peak hours but it was well worth it. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. [08 Oct 2002 17:29:10]

Great Deal - Great Service - Great Food if you can take the kids before 8 PM The food is always great and you can call ahead to beat the waiting in line. Prices are reasonable and Salsa is phenominal.
Since it is a family restaurant, beware of the screaming out of control kids early - they can get very very annoying quickly. [30 Aug 2003 22:24:51]

Great Tex-Mex, great steak, great atmosphere Yes, the Tex-mex is good (good, not great), but the STEAKS are as good as any I've had ANYWHERE in Dallas! For the ultimate experience, I recommend a Steak/Tex-Mex combo. This restaurant was started by a Tex-Mex restaurant in Dallas that invented the Frozen Margarita. [04 Mar 2005 13:25:47]
