Beware! Tall Children Are Measured Before Entering!!!! I will never go back to this restaurant. They measured my 11 yr old granddaughter like she was going to get on a carnival ride, to see how much she should be charged to eat in a "nice" restaurant. She is very concious of her height and was very embarrassed. How could you do this to a child? How many other children have to embarrassed and put on display because of their height???My granddaughter ask why her brother was not measured because he is a tall 7yr.old...How do you explain to a child that they were being discriminated against because of their height???? I liked it The selection of food is fabulous. They offer everything from fresh sushi to french fries. The staff was friendly and very punctual. I'll go back! [05 Aug 2003 11:10:08]

Complain, complain complain Don't take the "poor" review to heart. This person obviously is looking for a free ride. This restaurant is EXCELLENT. The people who run the place are very courteous. Fabulous sushi selection, great choice of foods, and never stale like some buffet places. It's a good place to eat if you don't know what you want but want a huge choice of great items. Plus, they're one of the only Chinese restaurants in the area that will give you chopsticks if you ask for them. [02 Apr 2004 16:45:37]

Not exellent as the past 2 reviews stated, and yes children are measured. Often a metallic (possibly preservative?) flavor... [12 Sep 2005 13:39:44]

Only so so The food at China Border is ok, but not great. It wouldn't be my first choice. The service was good. It's just not one of those places that I would say " Wow that was really good" about. The restrooms were not very clean. There was another lady that went into the restroom at the same time I did and we both had the same reaction, wrinkling our noses. [23 Aug 2006 04:49:44]

Food was not very tasty Four people (two adults and two teenagers) ate at this restaurant the evening of August 5, 2009. We were all hungry and tired. Restaurant was not crowded, and we found out why when we started to eat. The food is plentiful, but not very tasty at all. We tried a variety of items, just trying to find one item that would be average. We did not find one item was was very good. The food will fill you up and you will not be hungry afterwards, but the food is not flavorful. This is the worst Chinese restaurant any of us have ever dined. We will not be back to this restaurant. There are too many other good restaurants. We would eat at McDonald's before we dine at China Border again!!!! [28 Aug 2009 08:20:25]
