22 bucks for a three topping large pizza
Yes, you heard me right. It's not your Papa John's as far as price goes, but the quality more than explains the extra $10. Place has been there since I can remember and has been remodeled many times. Mario's is more than just a pizza joint....it's also a place for good quality TRUE Italian food as well. It's no secret: pizza is an American invention, but it has been REinvented by the staff at Mario's who know how to do it better than anyone else on the island.    [02 Apr 2004 16:54:53]

We love it there
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Galveston. Pizza is the best on the island, and the other Italian dishes are delicious. The service is always friendly - it's a great casual place for a family lunch or dinner. And it's quiet enough for a conversation.    [17 Apr 2005 09:21:24]

Best Italian family ever
I'v been going to Mario's on 61st all my life. Besides the great food I must admit that the family is awesome also. They are not stuck up in any way and on any givin day you will see one of them in there. The best dish I think is the Spag. Ellen named after the Smecca's first grandchild.    [09 Nov 2005 20:46:52]
