Move on down the sidewalk There weren't many places open on Strand. Decided to try this place. Mediterranean sounded good. If McDonalds decides to have a mediterranean menu, it would probably beat this place! Skimpy portions for the prices too.
The Hummus and the Falafel were pretty decent. Weird, but decent. Tzatziki was like nothing I have ever seen. I've had a lot of different Tzatziki's and this wasn't close to the consistency of anything I've tried. Tasted like watered down lite ranch drowned with garlic powder and popcorn butter oil dripped in it. They didn't even give us any pita bread to dip in it. They didn't give us anything.
Half our food showed up late. The kid in our group ordered a hamburger with "bread, meat, cheese, and pickles only. No mayo, ketchup, mustard (no sauce at all), no lettuce, tomatoes or onions." We know this kind of order can be a pain b/c it's hard to explain. That's why we made sure to repeat the order 3 more times to make sure. "Bread, meat, cheese and pickles ONLY". Not only did it show up 10 minutes after the other food (the kitchen sent his burger out to another table) but it showed up with mayo, mustard and lettuce. So we send it back. It comes back with extra pickles, less lettuce and a glob of mayo smeared on the outside of the bun. It turned out that the extra pickles were thrown on to cover the mustard stain as they couldn't scrape it all off without tearing the bun.
They even sent out ketchup in packets for the fries b/c they ran out of bottled ketchup.
The bathrooms only had one toilet each so the lines got long quick.
For the prices they charge, about $7 burger, they should show a little more class.
Food didn't sit too well either. Walk away folks. This place is sub-par. [21 Jul 2009 16:22:26]
