Uppity Attitudes with Lowdown exterior Couldn't eat there. They don't allow kids under 7. Very uppity attitude at the front door but from the outside, looks like a hole in the wall. In this day and age, who can afford to anger potential customers or turn them away? Kids aren't comfortable in high-dollar atmospheres. There's a time and a place for them. I appreciate a good, romantic meal without my child. I appreciate other patrons who respect this also. But someone in the hospitality industry (as I am) should know how to tactfully convey this message without insulting one's dress (they blamed the "no kids" policy on dress code - I was wearing a skirt and sweater). By the way, guests leaving were wearing sweats. I'm appalled. [03 Feb 2002 10:46:45]

A classy place for an evening out I eat here once every month or two with my wife. The food is great and it has a nice cozy (romantic) atmosphere.
It is true that I have seen them discourage children. This is a place for a romantic evening and I really don't want to hear somebody's kids screaming on my anniversary.
It looks like a dump from the outside but looks are very deceiving. Certainly worth a try! [25 Jan 2003 23:07:40]

One of the very best! Marsala has always been one of our favorites for celebrating special occasions. Excellent, attentive service. The staff is formally dressed, adding to the classically enjoyable surrounding. Wonderful entrees and delicious food selections. Soothing, live classical guitar music is often featured. No detail is overlooked. Sorbet is offered as a palate cleanser before the main course. Discerning diners know that some of the world's finest restaurants can be deceiving if only their outward appearance is judged. Instead, just step inside for a magical and memorable dining experience! [24 May 2007 19:35:56]
