The Staff is Inconsiderate!
We have visited the restaurant on numerous occasions and have been for the most part pleased. However the staff has changed and they are very inconsiderate to their customers.

Your name is put on a waiting list when you arrive, but if you are a "close friend" or a regular "boat person" you are seated immediately and those who have been waiting for over an hour for a table are made to wait. There were 3 different families under 3 different names whose tables were given away to the above such people. We witnessed this happen ourselves. They did try to compensate us with a free appetizer, but it left a very sour taste in our mouths. They need to get RID of the girls who work up front or they will continue to lose business!    [26 Mar 2001 11:32:00]

July 4th, 2002 - Busy but professional :)
I took a chance and decided to take the family of 5 to the Oasis for dinner before the July 4th fireworks display. We arrived at 6:15 and were seated immediately. Our waiter kept the glasses full, the food was ok(Nachos and burgers) & the place was buzzing. They had just started a wait list for larger groups as we left (7:15p), but small groups (4 or less) were still be seated as they arrived. No complaints. The only problem was the parking lot was overflowing. We had to park on the grass. By the way, the fireworks were great!    [05 Jul 2002 09:51:07]

Oasis - Not Worth It
We have been to the Oasis about 6 times in the last 2 years. I have yet to have an experience to brag about. The last time we were there, the food was acceptable, but the service really stinks. Great staff !
We love the Oasis. We are there almost every Friday in the summer. We have a good size crowd that meets us there and we always have a great time. Great seating and food, Marvelous drinks! And we absolutely love the waiters.

The service is good and the food is great. Had a wonderful birthday gathering with a large group of family and friends who enjoyed the atmosphere with food and live music. Is this a dream!
The first time I cam over the hill I could not believe that this place was actually in DFW! The outside bar had a phenomenal band and a round "Cocktail" type bar. The inside is adorned with fish and things that relate to the sea. The Captains platter is the best around.

Our waitress was also "right on".

I will never return to the Oasis at Joe Pool Lake.
I have had bad food and service in my time, but this place tops the list as the "NEVER WILL RETURN" hotspot.
I spent $115.00 for dinner four, and was so embarassed when everyone got their food. $23.00 for a Filet Mignon that realy would have made poor stew meat. The NY strip was not much better. The dog was in heaven when we got home!!!!    [28 Mar 2005 05:55:48]
