Promises, Promises I ordered items to be shipped to my elderly disabled mother for Thanksgiving on the Mary of Puddin' Hill webpage. I never received any acknowledgement of my order, not even a thank you. I paid for their FedEx 2 day delivery (3 days, including the one day to put the order together), which cost an additonal $9.00, and despite that, the order was not received when it should have been. I telephoned the 1-800 number provided in the catalog, and it turns out to be just an answering service. The lady with the service, who would not give her true identity, said she "knew nothin' about nothin' and only took orders". Mary of Puddin'Hill has not live up to her promise to me as a customer. Unhappy customer in Houston
Charming yet harming Very charming little place, with lots of cute gifts and candy to buy. The things they can make out of candy are pretty interesting. HOWEVER, the food at the cafe is absolutely worthless and horrible. Very ridiculous. Hate it. [14 Dec 2004 17:43:25]

Old favorites with a twist. The po' boy sandwich was lightly grilled, and after the first bite my friend and I were both impressed. They used a champagne mustard(available for purchase) on the sandwich that added a pleasantly interesting flavor. There were several varieties of iced tea available, including black raspberry, and peach. After ordering, you can browse the store, sampling as you go before making your way to the dining room to wait for your food. [22 Feb 2006 18:21:27]

Great place, fantastic products and service. Don't know what happened to the writer three years ago from Houston, but sounds like an attitude. Never talked to anyone else that has had the same problems. Home goods that are sure to please, that is what I found on line and in their store in Greenville, Texas. [19 Jul 2006 23:55:10]

Enjoyable Tour A few years back my friend and I visited this establishment and Mary's husband gave us a personal tour of the location. It was a most enjoyable time. They serve good food and the folksy employees are a joy to be around. They have shipped items for years for me without a problem. [30 Mar 2007 10:48:12]
