Artsy Pizza Place Place is what looks to be a converted wood floor, two story house with wrap around porch. Drop leave tables decorate the Front room, Booths in the second room are eclectically painted in various wild themes.
We were put in the back room, which I can only describe as the "Andy Warhol" room as it had various forms of bad art hanging from the walls, all tilted anwhere from 1.3 to 1.6 degrees from straight - unnerving - the only one of which was straight was the one picture of Andy Warhol.
Food: We had the rosemary rotisserie chicken which tasted like a giant boiled mushroom and had the appearance of a huge dinner salad (from the over-use of basil covering the entire pizza). It had way too much mushroom on it. It was good for about one slice. After that, the grease from the mushrooms turned the center of the pizza to mush. I love rotisserie chicken and I love mushrooms, but they didn't make for a good pizza. However, the other dishes looked good.
We kept our coats on as the back room had no fewer than 4 AC vents blowing full blast at us (when it was 40 and raining outside). [29 Dec 2003 02:47:36]

Wonderful This is the best pizza in the world. I've eaten here about 100 times and I still am not tired of it.
Good job, Star Pizza! [28 Jan 2005 10:20:00]

One of the Best in Houston Just call in your order in advance. It takes a while to make your pizza.
I always have the Chicago-style deep dish meat lovers. It's almost a stew; you'll need a fork and knife to eat it. The pizza bread is excellent and the sauce is always ample. Nothing about Star Pizza is "mass produced". It is all hand-made and made as ordered. It would be a mistake not to try Star Pizza, if you've never had it before. Enjoy! [09 Jun 2005 15:15:20]
