Solid but not Outstanding
Recently taken over by Los Pericos (the parrot) out of Willis. This is my wife's favorite Tex-Mex in Huntsville, although I rate it lower. She usually orders a burrito, and I, tacos al carbon. Chips are good, but the salsa, which is served warm, is not up to par -- very "tomatoey" and bland, They serve an avocado-based salsa that is very good, but you have to ask for it. The ambiance is pretty good. The tables are made of very heavy wood in the Mexican style, but the legs are not level, and you have to put bags of sugar under them to prevent constant tilting.
