Great breakfast, frowny waitress. In Jacksboro on business one morning, I stopped at the Village Kitchen to grab a bite before my meeting. The waitress was all business in taking my order and seeing that I had everything I needed, but seemed distracted. No smiles on the cook's face, either. Food was great, had two eggs with bacon, hash browns, coffee and toast. I smiled at them, trying to start things off, but no dice. [22 Jan 2004 14:40:33]

Good Food And Great Service I have been to the Village Kitchen a few times in my travels and I will say that it is one of my favs. The wait staff is always friendly and pretty easy on the eyes too. They really make you feel at home. [27 Aug 2006 11:34:06]

Good road trip stop We enjoyed our meal at the Village Kitchen. The waitresses were very friendly, food was great! I ordered the breakfast sandwich, on an English muffin, minus the cheese and requested the egg cooked dry. Perfectly done. The grapefruit juice could have been a little colder. Our favorite part of the visit was the clever slogan on the employees T-shirts..."Your mom's cookin' may be better...but she eats here when she's not cookin'!" [06 Aug 2007 14:51:15]
