Cuisine Even Paris Hilton Would Love
While in Jasper on business, I (a Florida 'cracker') introduced my city-slicker sister to Southern cookin' at Elijah's Cafe. It was love at first bite. The all-you-can-eat fried catfish, red beans & rice, squash casserole, just-crisp-enough snap peas, made-from-scratch yeast rolls and moist corn muffins, and blackberry cobbler were enough to bring us back the next night for a repeat performance, substituting a tender, mouth-watering pot roast sandwich for the main entree. And if the food doesn't bring you back, the outstanding service will. At Elijah's, it's rapid-fire service, with a smile. Then when the bill comes, the smiles are all yours. Get that home cookin'
If you like the way mama makes it...try this place. Along with their great food it has a friendly christian environment everyone can enjoy. My best friend came to visit me from Kentucky and he loved it! He wished they had one where he lived....! Their portions are so big, I always leave with left overs.
