Description
Buffet - Family Dining. Southern Homemade foods. Fried Chicken, fried Catfish, Liver and Onions, Hand Battered Huge Onion Rings, Homemade cobblers and Bread Puddings, too much to list. Also, everything in the restaurant is made from scratch. The place is neat with wood and stone and is very clean and comfortable.

Best Food in Jasper The food here is the best I have found from El Paso to Florida. Talk about an unexpected treat! The restaurant is immaculate and beautiful. The stone & wood and rustic Texas/American decorations are wonderful. You have to try this place! [08 Aug 2006 19:42:31]

If You Eat Anywhere Else - Get Your Head Checked I have been going to Jasper Texas and fishing for more than 23 years. I have always stopped at the same restaurant in Jasper to eat. I thought I was making a good choice. I was in a local Fishing store in Beaumont and was given a brochure to Lone Star Buffet in Jasper. My wife and I decided to try it. The food is homemade - fried shrimp, shrimp etouffee, boiled shrimp, gumbo, real fried boudain, rice dressing and jambaylala like my family in Crowley La used to make. Everything was great. My wife loved the cajun blackened fish and the shrimp pasta alfredo. The price is way better than the place I use to go to and the Lone Star Buffet is much cleaner and friendlier. I guess I am slow that it took me this long to find this place. This is now my place in Jasper. Thanks and happy fishing ...
