No Better Place To Eat Catfish!
I made my first trip to Big Pines over 25 years ago. I have been a "regular" ever since! Betty, the owner, is always at the register and I always get my "hug". The best food you can find, and a great casual atmosphere with wait staff who are friendly. As a side note, some of the wait staff has been there since my first visit! yes! The hush puppies!
On a trip to my pop's house in Henderson TX, and got an urge for catfish. He said he had just the place. We drove for what seemed forever, and he kept saying it was worth it. Boy was he right!! Beautiful scenic drive amongst the pines along the water. Right on the water. Friendly people. AND THE CATFISH!!!! Excellent! WORLDS BEST HUSH PUPPIES

home sweet home
My family has owned this fine establishment for many years and i couldn't be any happier about the great reviews we get from our patrons. On a sad note though, to all who didn't know, my aunt Betty Williamson (owner) recently passed away and my mother has taken over the restaurant. OUTSTANDING STEAKS TOO
All the above reviews are absolutely correct. We've been going there for years. A really well kept secret is their steaks. Awesome! Come with "Georges Secret Sauce" you can pour over them. Can't say enough about this fabulous place. Think we will just go there tonight!    [21 Sep 2007 13:39:56]
