This James Coney Island is absolutely the worst in getting orders right. Every single time I have gone there, I've had to call when I got home because I didn't get what I ordered, go back, or give them my name for something free the next time. Last week, I asked for Delaware Punch, they gave me Lemonade. Tonight I ordered a #8 Combo, Delaware Punch - no ice, and Cheese on the side. He repeated it back to me and I again said Cheese on the Side. At the window, I got Delaware Punch WITH ICE. The boy at the window begrudgingly changed it, but never offered any kind of apology. Having had so many wrong orders in the past, I checked the box. I had the mini-dogs, cheese ON THE FRIES, and no side of cheese. I waved him back to the window, showed him the order, and he said "Well, I'll give you a cheese if that's what you want". He made no apologies for the wrong order. What really got me was the motions he made as I was driving away. Waving in his hands and arms mockingly like I was "freaking out". He is a very poor representative of James Coney Island and I think this young man needs to be taught the proper ways to deal with customers.
I like everything on the menu,and the food is always at the right temperature - that's why I keep going back, each time hoping that maybe one time, I'll get what I ordered the first time.    [23 Aug 2004 20:35:46]
