Real Good BBQ I'm from Alabama. I stop here 2-3 times a year on way to visit granddaughter in Medina. Try the brisket and sausage, absolutely delicious. [08 Jul 2002 14:10:06]

Who Needs Sauce? Pig Out on the Pick-Em-Ups! We've tried everything Big Earl's has to offer -- succulent, meaty ribs, melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket, tender chicken, and spicy sausage -- and come back several times for more. Only once was the meat a bit dry; as a rule, it's predictably moist, tender, and so deliciously flavored that Big Earl's tasty sauce comes home with us unused, saved for future application to lesser quality cuisine (like my home cooking).
Sides include a cabbage slaw, humdrum baked beans, and potato salad -- nothing unusual, but adequate. But who goes to Big Earl's for the sides? Go for the meat!
The Senior Citizens' Plate (for 55s and over) will be more than many can eat, and it _will_ make you happy indeed -- esp. at just $5.50 (as of 7/02).
There's peach cobbler for dessert, but it's not always available, so buy it (lots of it!) when they have it, eat some, and stick the rest in the freezer. Thaw and heat in microwave, top with vanilla ice cream, and say "Aahhh!"
If this isn't the best BBQ in Kerrville, I doubt we could handle any better. [14 Jul 2002 16:04:00]

Oh Yeah... Best ribs in town, but get them early, and I mean real early, 'cause they run out of them fast.Sides are so-so,but BBQ sauce has a very distinctive flavor.Love the brisket and sausage as well. [12 Mar 2006 13:09:08]

BBQ: The Way It's Meant to Be I knew I was in for a treat when I got a whiff of the wonderful-smelling smoke on my way inside the eatery.
I visited Big Earl's in Kerrville,TX, during a business trip. It's a good, solid BBQ establishment...as good as you can get when you're hungry and in the mood for BBQ in an unfamiliar town.
I'd definetly recommend Big Earl's to fans of brisket and sausage.
