Boring Mexican food...
Can there be such a thing?
Yes, at Mamacitas (a chain restaurant) it is!
Had the worst taco's (unspiced boring ground beef) and most of the dishes are laden with cheese. Good service with decent chips and salsa (good salsa!)    [18 Dec 2003 10:09:57]

Wonderful Food and Atmosphere
They have great tasting Tex-Mex food as well as other treats such as steaks and burgers. Since re-opening the new improved Mamacitas, the place is just stunning, best of its kind in the hill country. Great atmosphere, Tasteless food
The new digs are awesome.
The food is boring and tasteless. The Charro Beans had nothing in them, no onions, tomatos, celantro.... NOTHING!
The enchelada sauce is like pure tomato sauce, or ketsup. The Chile Relleno was good but the side dishes are so bad they ruin the whole meal.

Great Appetizers!
These are the best appetizers ever! However, I have tried most of the entrees and they are indeed bland, especially for Mexican food!! I do recommend the Quesadillas. Service is Great. The lighting is terrible as I could not even read the menu.    [18 Jul 2006 10:46:26]

Great chips & salsa, so-so- food
The chips/salsa and green avocado sauce are to die for! Everything else is basically bland. Kerrville is a retirement town. The food is toned down for an older generation. Seafood was a Surprise
We have eaten here for many years and the food is usually average. The service needs a lot of help. For some reason in Kerrville, this seems to be the norm. Most wait staff just don't measure up.

Last night we ate the dinner special which was blackened red snapper with with lime cilantro sauce and grilled shrimp, accompanied by a side of grilled portabello mushrooms and tomatoes. Great atmosphere, good salsa, boring food
The place has great atmosphere, but the food is boring. My wife likes Mexican food so we have been trying to find a good place to eat. We keep winding up here and I keep trying different dishes.
