Boss' House of Steaks - bad ribeyes Food - I ordered the debutant ribeye which was mostly fat. The flavor was pretty good, but once I cut all the fat off, there was only half the steak left. It was sizzling though, that I thought was great. Service - My waitress was very sweet! She told me the ribeyes were fatty but I wanted to try it anyway... I wished I would have ordered the filet or the tenderlion like she suggested. She cleared the table as soon as I finished and my glass of tea was always full. When I told her the meat was too fatty, she offered me another which I didn't except since I didn't listen to her in the first place! She brought me the bill and offered me a dessert, she was a very good waitress. Ambiance - The restaurant was very dusty. My waitress was actually cleaning the pie case and the salad bar while I was there because of all the dust. The theme was interesting, too many dead animals for my taste though. The music was too loud but my waitress turned it down when I asked her to. The downstairs restroom was nasty so I went upstairs. That restroom was okay. Overall - I would recommend Boss' House of Steaks to a friend but not the ribeyes and I'd tell them to make sure they ask for the waitress named Tami. Tami said there is a room upstairs for parties so there's an idea for a birthday or other get together. [04 Nov 2003 16:02:05]

great flavor I actually have eaten there three times, and have had an excellent steak each time. They raise their own meat on at their ranch. Great flavor. That's what the fat is for, so I just accept that. It is for sale, however, and I'm not sure if it's closed at this time. I saw it online at a real estate website. Hate to lose it. great ribeye My first time at boss' house of steaks was great. I had the large ribeye and it had the best flavor of any steak I had ever eaten. It had some fat on it but anyone who knows steaks that is the reason it was so flavorful [18 Jul 2004 18:16:23]

GREAT TENDERLOIN I received a lovely tenderloin served sizzling as described. The taste was wonderful and very tender. I must tell of the seafood gumbo of the evening, very tasty and they do not skimp on the seafood. The waiter infomred me that it is only served on weekends.
The service was very good and the young lady seened truly interested in taking care of every need.
Of interest to me was the setting, it seemed to have a hunting lodge theme. There ae several rooms which have a theme of their own. I do have say they have interesting collection of old guns and barb wire alond with arrow heads.
My server said the old house was built in the late 1800's. Perhaps that was part of the goal in the decor.
Overall I give them 4 stars. [03 Mar 2005 14:41:54]
