Lake Jackson's Best Kept Secret
Though I'm not usually one for German food, some of my favorite meals come from this resturant.
The bread served before the meal is mearly sliced wheat from the store, but it goes well with the navy bean soup. The yagersnitzel with cheese and mushrooms is my favorite meal. Though this is also the place with the best steak in town. The portions are very generous and it's always hot and prompt.
This is a small, family run place and the owner (a delightfully energetic Vietnamese woman) is likely to serve you herself.
Though the decor consists of a big screen TV and a few plants, no one ever complains. If you want a romantic meal, go elsewhere. If you just want a good meal and cheerful service, this is the place to go.    [05 Sep 2002 12:54:29]

Best beer in town!
