Great for Dinner!
We recently moved to the area and found her restaurant. The atmosphere is very "down-home". The portions large, the prices below average and everyone there is friendly and happy to help with just about anything. I could not find a single fault. Ginger even gave us a full box of her home made cinammon rolls to take home. The box weighed 5 lbs and was too hot to hold! We go back at least once a week now.    [28 Jun 2001 09:52:51]

my birthday
I went in for my free birthday meal. The hostess greeted me at the door and made me feel at home. The young waitress I had was very professional and quick. She made sure that I went home happy and satisfied. I will definately go back.    [15 Feb 2002 12:51:43]

Most delicious cinnamon rolls
My husband brought home the leftover cinnamon rolls a vendor brought to his office. They were delicious and still tasted great the 2nd day. Ginger Brown's should consider opening another bakery location.    [17 Sep 2002 07:11:58]

We found this restaurant by reading a
previous review and yum, were we all delighted. Each of us ordered something different and we were quite pleased with our entrees until the cinnamon rolls came out piping hot and
this was the piece de resistance. These make the drive worthwhile all on

Coconut Cream Desserts
I went to see a co-worker in a musical dinner playhouse type event at the River Oaks Community Center "Taste of Broadway and Red, White and Blue!"...Ginger Brown was credited for the dessert offering. The little coconut creame tarts were unbelieveable! They were so good I took an extra one home (since I'm out of town) and trying to figure out how to make them! Delicious food BUT the SMOKE will kill ya!!
The food is great!!! Chicken Fried Steak is unbelievable!!! Cinnamon Rolls are to die for but the owner refuses to make the restaurant non-smoking for fear of loosing business. The only thing is that the smoke is so strong in there it really doesn't matter where you sit it kind of ruins your meal.
When you leave there you stink like an ashtray and it takes a couple of showers to get the smoke smell out of your hair!!

Excellent Food, Live Entertainment Annoying
The food was beyond excellent, the service terrific, the portions ample, in fact so ample we had to have "take out containers" for part of one meal and the cinnamon roll deserts, the prices were very reasonable. Did find out that they have live entertainment that alternates between Tuesday and Thursday each week. This week it was Tuesday night, Michael Merrill sang during our meal, we prefer not to be entertained when we dine. Nice man but did not enjoy the LIVE entertainment. Will certainly be returning customers, but will call ahead to make sure that it is not a live entertainment evening. We did buy a couple of their extra large chocolate cookies to bring home, we ate them later and they were fabulous! They do take credit cards!    [18 Apr 2007 00:30:48]

Great Food - Smoke is embedded in the walls!!

Great Restaurant
Great food, super friendly wait staff, service a little slow sometimes but the food is always superb. There is only one bathroom for each gender. They should consider remodeling to put in extra bathroom space. The tables need to be wiped down better because there is food residue on the sides, especially and the tables are a little "sticky".    [24 Jul 2007 13:53:00]
